November Nights
Through November I will be running a number of free sessions to support you. I want us to come together in community and connection, something that is so important in our lives, and particularly this year.
As the nights grow darker and we start to go inward, these sessions will give you comfort and solace, and an opportunity for reflection. A place to explore where you are without judgement, with lovingkindness. Each session with include a teaching, along with a meditation.
You’ll also have a chance share if you want to, but there’s never any pressure. Come as you are.
Each session will be on a Monday evening 8.30 for 45-60 minutes.
All you need to do is bring yourself, every bit of you.
Come to all or come to one.
9th November: Coming back to the wisdom of your body
Many of us live our lives from our mind. We are in constant dialogue trying to figure out and make sense of the world around us. And this world doesn’t always make sense. In this session we will explore what it means to feel with our body, to allow ourselves to explore emotions, and come back to the home of our body.
16th November: Tender compassion
As human beings we can be so hard of ourselves. We berate, punish and beat ourselves up. This session explores what’s behind this and a different way of being with ourselves. We will explore Metta, the meditation of Loving Kindness.
23rd November: Our tender heart
We go through life and experience hurt and pain. This hurt and pain leads us to close our hearts, sometimes to build a fortress around them. Many talk of an open heart but what does it really mean? And how can we tend to our hearts, when they’re broken, when they hurt? This session we’ll be exploring the heart, and rest in a heart meditation.
30th November: All of who you are
In the final session of this series we’ll be exploring who we are underneath all of the conditioning, all of the accepted norms. My desire for this session is that we start to question all that we thought we were, and open up to the possibility of who we are. This is something that I’ve been exploring on my own journey.
These sessions are free, if you would like to make a donation you can donate to the following organisations:
Cruse Bereavement Care who support those who have experienced death and bereavement.
Black Minds Matter who link black people and families in the UK with certified, professional, black practitioners for support in their mental health.
Dalling & Co supporting Child Hunger – Dalling & Co is a special place for us, it’s where went after we got married at our local church, but it’s more than that, it’s where we find solace, a home. They’re fundraising to support child hunger.
